Ernest Llynn Lotecka received art education early in Philadelphia at Smedley School, St. Bartholomew’s Academy and the Museum of Art. His work has been shown in California at the San Dieguito Artists Alliance, Carlsbad-Oceanside Art League, Encinitas City Hall, San Diego Art institute, San Diego County Fair, Bonita Museum and Digital Art Guild book. He has an extensive career in development psychology with emphasis on balancing physical, psychosocial and spiritual expression.
Most importantly, “El’s” art has been influenced by the beauty in coastal interactions of water, land, light and life. “My perspective is naturalist and Taoist: more directly perceiving deeper forms. I attempt to convey basic truths in the flowing combination of diversities -- and by highlighting mundane foundations to stimulate experiences of transcendent unities.” This organic-mineral fluvialism blends photographic media and digital effects with gels, paints and powders. ~
